My first real knives
"After watching hours and hours of the Food Network, I became convinced that I needed a "real" chef's knife, not just my old battered knives that I received for my wedding 10 years ago.
After much consideration, I chose this 2 knife set for three reasons: 1. There was 2 of them in the set 2. The box would keep them away from my other knives and prevent damage to the blades 3. Rachel Ray endorsed them, they had to be decent
I am very happy with my set. Another review stated that their set had dings and scratches.... my set was in perfect condition. The box was in great condition also. No, it isn't a work of art, but it does what I want it to do...protect the knives from damage.
The handles are an odd orangish color, but that really doesn't matter to me. They are a slightly soft silicone-type handle that allows you to get a good grip with no slipping.
Now for the blades, they cut and chop like a dream. I cannot believe the difference between these wonderful knives and my old set. Now I can see how TV chefs can chop so quickly with seemingly little effort! My prep time for meals has decreased due to easier chopping, however I won't go super fast because these blades are extremely sharp.
Yes, this set was pricey, but I am thrilled with them. In fact, I am buying another set for family member's wedding present. I'll let them start out with good knives, unlike the knives I started out with."

"I bought this knife set for my Mother and she absolutely loves it! She loves to chop her vegetables and now just can't stop! She also loves the comfortable handle and thinks the added antimicrobial touch is great too! I would recommend this product to anyone who needs or wants a good chopping knife. And it's nice to give your Mom a smile and let her know that she is just as good as Rachael Ray. Now every time she watches Rachael Ray she says "hey that's my knife" and smiles. This will definitely be on my Christmas list this year!!"

"We are very pleased with these knives. They are very sharp and the grip is comfrtable. They are also well balanced. Our only compliant i sthat the tips of the knives are showing signs of rust after only a few washes. Other than that, we are satisfied. The knives arrived in good shape when promised."
